OMG the terror these people must have felt. Could anyone possibly survive this?

I have just (unfortunately) seen a video and the plane does do a vertical nosedive, straight down. Those poor souls on board.

Yeah I saw the video - - absolutely horrific
The video I saw earlier looked like a deep fake.

Two minutes of absolute terror. Must have felt line a lifetime.
Would the people on board have died before it hit the mountain?
no
I have just seen an article on the Daily Telegraph website. Unfortunately it does indeed look as though it plummeted suddenly from 30,000 feet.

Apologies to the Daily Mail for doubting you
Dave, I was thinking perhaps lack of oxygen?
You wouldn't want to be a mechanic or anyone with anything to do with that plane. Probably already rounded up together with families.
YMB,
I watched a nentorpilot video at the weekend that involves an incident on a Boeing 737 - 800.
The plane didn’t crash but the investigation said an update document from Boeing hadn’t gone to the airline, so a repair failed, and the pilots didn’t follow the right procedures. So a combination of factors could be to blame.
Looks catastrophic to me. Even if it was pilot suicide the aircraft probably wouldn`t be pointed directly at the ground. Might be something with the aircraft's onboard computers. That's if the video is genuine of course.
I hope no pandas were harmed.
Even with engine failure or running out of fuel, they can glide a long way.

If this was elsewhere I would suggest a terrorist bomb, but I don't think internal Chinese flights are a likely target. Unless someone knows better?
if it's boeing, I'm not going

Third try
The B737-8 is a very tried and tested aircraft so it could be anything. No point in speculating really. At one time I worked on B737 200 and they had cracks in their combustion chambers in the engines. That didn't end well.. I would be surprised if it is a design problem.

Wolf why have you put the same video on 3 times?
Ladybirder, sorry I got so annoyed that it didn't embed that I couldn't stop myself.

Maybe a mod will zap my first two.
