I find this report amazing, not because Ghislaine's motion was denied, but that the potential juror's had to complete a 50-page questionnaire. No wonder this guy skipped through it. Who wouldn't?

Hmmm, I’d have thought a victim of sexual abuse would have paid more attention to the questions, given the accused was on trial for aiding sexual abuse.

He shouldn’t have been on the jury, though. IMHO.

There could be an argument which says he is more suitable for a jury as he has more knowledge of the crime.

Difficult to decide. But regardless of the crime, I think that too would be skipping through after a few pages. I seem to remember the questions when I was on jury duty were minimal (mind you, it was over 18 years ago and my memory of the occasions has faded).

Well do do you go on at a murder trial if you think someone who has been a victim of a crime has a better understanding of the charge?

He wouldn't have known the nature of the crime when he filled the form in - he didn't think he would be selected for jury service at all.
