If her tax affairs are legitimate - and in her position I would be very surprised if they aren't - anything untoward would be plain stupid - then she should stick with them. She shouldn't bow to the howling of those suffering from the currently rampant disease of digging up something - anything - with a sniff of the disreputable about it. What a pity she can't tell them in no uncertain terms to mind their own business and get knotted - but we know she can't. She's far too well bred for that.
