He spoils it a bit with:

“Dear ‘collective west’ please give Mr Putin a clear exit to save his face and stop this massacre. Please be more rational and humanitarian.”

There can be no exit for Putin. And at the moment in any case he thinks he's winning so he won't negotiate.

I doubt if he's a candidate for "novichok"
A lot of people suspect that Maria Ovsyannikova, the lady who protested on the main Russia news, and who got off suspiciously lightly, was a plant. Personally I don't believe that: more likely it was just because she was high-profile and hard to handle too roughly. Now she's working I believe for a German TV compamy.
But this is Russia'a war.
It is not for the west to be "humane".
