Has trouble outside pubs increased since opening hours were extended in November?

Havent seen any reports in the press or on TV etc.


Bit early doors for evidence to have been collected that could be meaningful, I would have thought.

It's like the Millennium Bug: Everyone panics about impending disaster, then when nothing happens it's quietly forgotten about!
It was very much press hype. Very few people will have the opportunity to stay out much later than before and will not spend much more than before. But it gives the opportunity to even out the departure from premises so reducing the flashpoints when everyone was on the street at once. Give it a few months.

I think the next couple of weeks will be the big test, and then (in my town at least - being a tourist spot) the summer.


That said, I walk my dog at around 11pm and seem to see the same groups of people leaving the pubs and going to bight clubs - so it seems that people aren't particularly changing their habits.
