What a shame that such people of Liverpool seek to embarrass the Prince and at the same time hugely mortify the majority of Liverpudlians. You are not obliged to like the monarchy but common sense and pride should make them respect their own National Anthem. So disappointing.
//Liverpool fans' booing of the national anthem at cup finals in which their team are represented is a long-standing tradition in its own right//

I've never heard of it but I find that shameful. When did that moronic behaviour become a tradition - and why? They surely can't think it's big or clever or something to be proud of ... can they?
Back in the 80s Naomi when the Government of the day was prepared to let the city go under then were complicit in the Hillsborough cover up.
The National Anthem is about the queen - not the government - or don't Liverpool fans know that Ken?
Was the government of the day also complicit in the Heysel Stadium massacre also Ken?
I haven't clue, Naomi. You'd have to ask a Liverpool fan. Maybe 'Chelle7272' will explain if she sees this thread.
I thought it was just The Sun that Scousers hate?
fanny, haven't a clue. You'd have to ask a Liverpool fan. Maybe 'Chelle7272' will explain if she sees this thread.
Tigger, they hate Man Utd, The Sun, Tory Government and possibly Man City:-J
Well it was you who said the government of the day was complicit in the Hillsborough deaths,Ken.
You never answered my question,Ken.Was the government of the day responsible for the murder of 39 football fans at the Heysel Stadium, caused by Liverpudlians?
I think there is a substantial & growing apathy towards the Monarchy so maybe expect more of this in the future (especially when Chas assumes the throne).
Not up here in Scotland(especially where i stay(Royal Deeside)).Get rid of the monarchy?...Over my dead body.
Booing the National Anthem at the FA Cup Final is not an example of 'apathy' about the monarchy.
Well it looks more negative than it looks positive, goalie. Were they booing against something, perhaps their own involvement in the Heysel Stadium massacre perhaps?
"Heysel Stadium massacre"

"the murder of 39 football fans at the Heysel Stadium, caused by Liverpudlians"

Was anyone accused of murder?
Yes,a few Liverpool fans were charged with manslaughter/murder charges.Next question.
Yes, some were charged with and convicted of manslaughter but how many were charged with murder?
