russian army - colonel is atop a brigade and they say THAT is 2000-8000 troops

so that would be 30 -90 colonels
Sqad suggests 2000
which gives upper and lower bounds - - bit like running the British economy, if you say there is someone running it

Triplet girls, 9 years old, raped by Russian soldiers in front of their mother - severe genital injuries;
a 9-months-old girl (sister of the above)raped with a candlelight (candle?)
a 1-year-old boy, raped by two Russians, died;
a 2-year-old girl, raped by two soldiers, survived.
Two men aged 67 and 78 also raped.

That list of atrocities is indeed stomach-churning, but I don't think it should be confused with the politics. If by 'all territories' you include Crimea, I think that is a big ask. I think a return to the status quo before the invasion is more of a realistic life-saving goal,

Probably the same reason that made you understandably question it: namely it’s hard to credit without copperbottomed proof. There have been passing references though

I questioned it because I know there’s always propaganda on both sides. The first thing that sprang to mind was the reputation foisted upon the Jews for drinking babies’ blood - that’s how appalled I was to read it.

Well yes it’s either true or made up but I simply don’t think any of it is made up on the Ukrainian side.
That might sound biased but sadly I think it’s the case that Ukraine doesn’t need propaganda of that sort given the reality
