a lot of us have learnt the lesson that handling other people's money - you have to be cleaner than clean...
simples.
The examples above are eye watering to those who have run charities. - it may well be "critical numbskulls" to those that have not. Think Tom and Jerry with eyes on stalks
Even the Great Boris got 'caught' - a rich lord paying for his drawing room to be converted into a tort's boudoir is bound to lead to statements that the Lord only did it to curry favour
Even Thatcher blushed when she learnt the President of Gomboola had called out whole of the National Guard of Gomboola to look for the errant boy Mark. Some bedu on a camel found them - phew ! now a rich bedu - and Mark spoiled it as he would by saying. " I wasnt aiming for the capital of Gomboola, Timbuctoo, I was only trying to get to Shepherd Bush - ter daaah!"

" Your comparison of worthy people of distinction to this lot says everything about your skewed agenda"
No - both groups were fighting for the same thing. They were fighting against racism and highlighting injustice. And at the time - they were called trouble-makers in the same way that some now call BLM "trouble makers".
It's no where near an insult. It's an observation.

You know what - you're 100% right.
I've just looked back at my interactions with you and I can see that I can't keep myself from insulting you. And it's only you!!!
I will do my very best to avoid being mean to you in future - no matter what I think of your arguments and opinions.
It won't matter to you, but it matters to me.

No sorry - I'm not doing that thing. That thing when someone in an online discussion goes onto their favourite search engine and looks for an article to back up their point.
You can do that, then I could do that, then you could counter with another link, then I do the same, and on it goes...
It's like having a discussion by proxy - two people on either sides of a library throwing books at each other and shouting "See".
It just doesn't work.

I’ve just looked at some of your interactions with other members of the News thread and can see you get into spats even when I’m not involved.
So now I see the common denominator.
You.
It’s not me who’s constantly insulting you - you provoke attacks all over.
So I partially rescind my previous statement.
I’ll do my best not to insult you, but with the caveat “unless you deliberately provoke it”
…which looking at your profile history would appear to be ‘always’.
Have a good day!
