Right now, the only persons in the UK who believe that Boris Johnson was not lying to parliament in his statements re partygate must be TTT and Naomi24.

While we pay our police to investigate partygate & beergate, only 1.3 per cent of rapes and 6 per cent of crimes overall are resulting in a charge. UK cops solve 5 per cent of burglaries. If your house is ransacked by drug addicts, your consolation could be Keir Starmer finally being issued a fixed penalty notice for a carryout curry & that Boris received a fine for having a cake on his birthday!

> Boris Getting Deeper In The Doo-Do
Boris has set out his stall now. His defence is that he didn't have a clue what was going on, literally and metaphorically under him. He was never there, he never read any of the emails, he never saw any of the vomit and detritus, his director of communications communicated nothing to him, the personal secretary kept it secret from him, and he didn't realise that his own birthday party was a party at the time but accepts now that it was. So when he said to parliament that "all the guidance was followed", he thought that was the case.
I wonder how many other totally incorrect responses he gives to questions while being absolutely clueless about the real situation. How often he conveys the image of knowing, when really he knows nothing. Or, alternatively, how many outright lies he tells. I wonder ...
And I wonder how we're supposed to tell the difference, and whether it matters,

Not really a fan of James O’Brien but he’s summed it up well here.
