the single market itself would be ok, that's really what we joined in 1973. The problem is that with the EUSSR there are always strings attached.

Dear gully - this was all thrashed out in 2016 (& in discussions over May's proposed deal). Being bound by EU rules & FoM without having input to their decision making processes is simply unacceptable. Do try to keep up.

My post above has no mention of democracy – only pointing out the blindingly obvious, that Brexit is an absolute disaster for the UK.

Admittedly the electorate were lied to in terms of the benefits of Brexit, which led many to vote for Brexit, believing in the sunny up-lands of Brexit (which will never materialise).

There isn't a cost of living crisis, if there was there wouldn't be massive queues at airports and traffic jams with people heading off on holiday, a quick walk thru Bristol and all the restaurants and pubs are packed and over 40k people are going to love saves the day in bristol.

It is interesting that those who believe Brexit to be beneficial to the UK also believe Boris Johnson to be an excellent prime minister; to argue with such people would be akin to trying to convince people who believe that the earth is flat, that it is not.
