so I WAS going to issue a fulsome apology to you

My post above has no mention of democracy – only pointing out the blindingly obvious, that Brexit is an absolute disaster for the UK.
Admittedly the electorate were lied to in terms of the benefits of Brexit, which led many to vote for Brexit, believing in the sunny up-lands of Brexit (which will never materialise).
