I'm not sure. But the US is pretty involved, and the whole geopolitical context would be entirely different. Not to mention the nuclear element

The West is culpable of complacency in turning a blind eye to the appointment of a former KGB officer into the position of controller/dictator of a neighbouring nuclear state to Europe without demur.
