The War Still Rages
Given what has been happening on our own shores over the last 4 or 5 days, the Russian invasion of Ukraine appears to have taken a back seat. So here's a bit of good news for the Ukrainians;

is that the one we are talking about
I am surprised the intellects and obviously clever Abers ( They know who they are) doubt that was the Russians did in 1945, they arent doing in 2022 - but hey this is AB !
The Russians ( azovstal) have found the bodies of 100 or more dead Ukrainian defenders and are returning them to families - that is credible isnt it?

Andonov was definitely eliminated but while that’s obviously good news - to decent people - it’s really a sideshow.
And another general: Kutuzov.
Three major battles rage now: the one around Severodonetsk and Lysychansk, in Kharkiv region where Ukrainian forces continue to try to push the orcs back to the border, and in Kherson region as Ukrainian forces try to advance slowly on the city. Russians withdrew presumably tactically from Melitopol, Zaporizhzhya, towards there.
Russians supposed to be preparing an assault on Slovansk, Donetsk region.
One thing we learned is they’re seemingly incapable of doing anything much on more than one front at a time.
It’s hoped maybe the fact that Russian warships have retreated some way from Odesa means the blockade might be lifted.
Meanwhile Russia continues to pilfer Ukrainian grain and sell it itself - moreover at the higher prices that its own grain now goes for.
Thieves, rapists, liars, killers, destroyers.
There’s not a lot left they can do

Lavrov claimed Russia would counter the longer range missiles being sent by pushing the Ukrainians further from the front line.
Then he told a baffled Steve Rosenberg of the BBC the opposite: they’d move back.
Neither if those options makes any sense.
Little wonder Putin reportedly tore a strip off Lavvers at a meeting earlier.
As well as ranting about the Chinese …

“Ich, do you think Russia is making progress? Every time I listen to the news lately it seems they are.”
Of course they are: they currently occupy about a fifth of the country,
At what cost tho? No one knows how much more of this they can take themselves. Their losses in trying to take the NW part of the Donbas must be huge.
Ukraine’s are considerable too but Ukraine is fighting for its survival

yeah some ABers think the Russians dont rape - braynes gone soft again...
per ich: "Lavrov claimed Russia .......(long bit) ...Then he told a baffled Steve Rosenberg of the BBC the opposite: ........"
yeah i noticed that in real time and was also baffled, BUT
then I thought - Naaa Lavrov has spent too much time on AB where this goes on ( say X and then say the immed opposite next sentence) on everyday

Well, when the orcs (sorry but it seems so appropriate) withdrew from Kyiv and Kharkiv there was much rejoicing. But their strength is their artillery which was less well suited to the terrain around there. That’s why Ukraine needs these MLRS and HIMARS systems which are longer range and more flexible - and more accurate than the Russian artillery. They were specifically designed to be so.
The hope is the tide will turn in the coming months.
Thus was always going to be brutal and ugly, Putin hopes we’ll lose interest and hope and that the unity of decent people will erode.
We mustn’t let it. There is enough of a trail of war crime been left though to remind people, that I’d say there’s a good chance we’ll stay appalled and determined

This is a tragic war of attrition we are watching. The Russians have the upper hand because they have no conscience about human lives or property & are 'outside' bombing 'in' whereas the Ukrainians are defending & trying to protect their homeland from within.
The Ukrainians at least know for what they are fighting, which seems to be more than the Russian troops do.
Sadly;
