I agree, Hymie. Earlier this week on Radio 5 Live Breakfast, they were discussing the return of Love Island. Tis true. Honest. Would Love island get any viewers if the participants had any clothes on?

We watched it originally because are interested in farming and loved the countryside and North Yorkshire and admired the family and how the children were so involved. Over the years our interest dropped off as it became more centred on her and less on farming and got boring. We still watch The Yorkshire Vet!!

I don't see the point of commenting on this thread if you have never heard of, or seen the programme nor heard of her.

I've never watched her series but did see her in 2011 ago in Ade Edmondson's The Dales.
Since then she's popped up on other programmes.

I posted this thread mainly because in somebody else's thread months ago some were saying their separation was a publicity stunt to promote her just published book. Obviously not.
On the face of it she and her family had an enviable lifestyle, with a loving tight knit family, a job they loved and children living an Enid Blyton life.

Was not very complimentary about her.

I remember, Helen - she told us all about her nannies, dressers, scriptwriters and faking farming scenes for the series.

Especially with 9 children. I did wonder if things would change as now Amanda is on TV shows alot these days.

I think they get a great deal of intrusion as well from tourists and the media. It might be time to back away from it all.

I think she has taken it too far, in the beginning it was a charming story of a boho girl with children working as a shepherd and raising her children.
Now she is everywhere has a nanny and spends more time on the tv the than PS.
