Angela Rayner/Kier Starmer Beer And Curry Party
Just watching Rayner on the BBC and I have to say I think she's pretty impressive, much more so than her clown boss.
However...
Can we draw a line under this ridiculous idea that Starmer is "honourable" by saying he'll resign if fined?
1. Durham Constabulary do not issue retrospective fines - so Starmer will NOT be fined, and he knows this.
2. He refused to answer the question whether he would resign if Durham Constabulary found he broke the (absurd) rules, but wouldn't fine him.
3. During the investigation into Johnson (before Johnson was fined) Starmer was screaming for Johnson's Resignation. Why hasn't Starmer resigned? He's a hypocrite.
4. For months Starmer swore blind Rayner wasn't at the beer and curry party...until a photo was produced proving she was at the party, and then it becomes a "genuine mistake".
The man is a liar and is as far from being honourable as it's possible to be.

//Only YOU and you alone deem both events as not worthy of resigning. //
//Not so. There are several people here - including me - who think this fuss is utterly puerile and certainly not something that anyone should be resigning over.//
Lol, the Borstriches in tandem don’t really count though, do they?
Funny that this ‘fuss’ necessitated an independent inquiry by a top civil servant(well, independent until the government nobbled it just prior to publication) and a parliamentary standards committee are looking into it too.
Seems 148 of his own MP’s reckon it’s no trivial matter either?
Thankfully there are lots of the public and plenty across the divide in the House that see it for the grace matter it is.
Luckily for us the views of the Borstriches(who ironically keep him in power despite his scorn for you) don’t really count in this instance.

I too like ‘Borstriches‘. I might nick it.
In partygate and beergate, the offence is trivial, it is the lying afterwards that grates.
Did Boris really not know he was at a party?
Did Starmer really not know Rayner was in the next room?
Once we detect them being economical with the truth, is when we start to not believe anything they say.

You’re welcome to, it was made last week in response to the usual ‘5C lefty poltroon’ garbage that we hear ad infinitum from ToraToraTora whenever anyone has a different view to his.
He still fails to grasp that there are at least 148 subversive types in the parliamentary Conservative party.

//I’m in the ‘no need to resign’ camp as well.
The party and the beer and curry are total trivialities.//
What about the lying to parliament and blocking your own ethics adviser from investigating you, then changing the ministerial code to cover up future misdeeds?
Where do you stand on that?
