Well I'm suprised she doesn't put her boot through it! Makes her look like she's straining on the loo. Awful Rolf awful. What do Abers think:

Poor old Rolf - he tries hard doesn't he? i'm all for making the Queen looking ridiculous but ........!?!
He is actually quite talented old Rolfy in many ways but he just gets things so very very wrong sometimes doesnt he?
I think it's okay, if a bit informal for a royal portrait. At least she doesn't look like a misery which she often looks like in portraits.

When I heard he was doing a portrait I thought it was going to be one of his "can you see what it is yet" 5 minute caracatures, I had no idea it was meant to be a proper portrait.
The Queen as a kangaroo (or a rolfaroo to be precise) - now there's a thought!
I actually think its quite good apart from her teeth, she looks like shes doing a rabbit impression. He should have painted her making bunny ears over her head with her fingers

I thought her eyes looked a bit mean. She doesn't look too friendly - maybe it was his intention to bring her stern-ness out?

Not too keen,I don't think portrait painting is his strong point.
It looks as if shes saying 'A gottle of gear'
Well, I think it's great. It makes a change to see a royal portrait that doesn't attempt to make her look attractive - after all, she ain't, is she?
not bad, though the eyes are staring a bit much. Bet the critics hate it.
LOL. Like the Kenneth Williams nose - oooohh, matron.
Makes her look like an 80 year old granny.......which is exactly what she is.
Was anybody looking for a Diana lookalike?
I like it.
I'm with you bernado, I saw the Queen as Rolf painted her and that's exactly how she looked! They compared the finished painting side by side with a picture taken at the same time and it was excellent.
Proof at long last Rolf is not an artist ..... unless of course you preceed the word with 'graffiti'
I like it and think that it is a good likeness...trouble is these days we are so used to only seeing "enhanced" pictures that when we see a true likeness, we don't recognise it imho!

What is his strongpoint? I've never known how he earns a living.
That's easy. He earns a living as an Australian celebrity who is unknown in Australia.
It's a damn sight better than the Lucien Freud portrait a few years ago, and I don't think anyone would dispute he's an artist!

Grunty I've seen him on telly in Australia many times. Viewers seem to know perfectly well who he is.

As I predicted, the critics seem to hate it. But I'm with Bernardo and Woofgang. It's ok.

But beware acting as a critic yourself Loosehead - see what happens, really bad artists start clogging up your thread in Suggestions.
