I feel so sorry for those parents...that they and others are accused of lying, that a piece of poop like Jones can make their lives hell, that they cannot grieve properly.
We have plenty of our own conspiracy theory numpties, I meet them everyday. The Americans don’t have a monopoly on it.
There are a lot of Americans and we share a slightly similar language, so we get to hear more of them than Russian or European nutters.

Thanks for BA. To be fair to the TFH there are other factors at play.
One is a genuine desire to oppose the forces of evil - can't fault them for that.
The other is a default position to disbelieve the official version of anything that comes from the authorities. Again, can't really blame them as we do get lied to an awful lot.
It doesn't make them any less feeble minded though.

The bloke PP is referencing, I believe, was more a talker than a doer. A blowhard. No prize, I'm sure.
But the most interesting aspect of the case, apart from the 7+yr sentence, is that it was his son that secretly recorded his tales of imaginary derring-do and 'dobbed' him in to the FBI.
