Yeah, i know. Those 5 seconds don't half drag:-J
Are matches on Saturday going to now start at 2:59pm ?

It has always been optional anyway, and not done during live play. So the fuss over it has aways been highly irrational. If players want to make a point about racism in football (and society) then they should be able to do so without a bunch of bigots giving them grief.

The new plan is to be welcomed. They will now take the knee if they want to, only at high profile games. Any one still deeply offended at this can of course turn their TVs on at kick off time rather than 10 minutes earlier.
thank heavens, now AB sports fans can turn their attention back to trans athletes...
^ LOL
13.37, what a good idea. Onwards. I see the prime minister in waiting intends to reduce the current number of 325 plus diversity officers employed by the Civil Service. Splendid!
As soon as this pub closes, the revolution starts!

Which, of course, is a far more important issue if you are a sports fan or, in particular, a woman who participates in competitive sport.

“Taking the Knee” is a largely pointless gesture; it has no discernible benefit but does little harm either (apart from irritating many sports fans). Allowing men who say they are women to participate in women’s sport is a different matter entirely, however.
It's all very well saying that players taking the knee is optional on certain occasions but we all know that those who choose not to will be vilified by the howling woke mob.
And about time too. Ridiculous.
Taking the knee did nothing to help the black cause. I would rather they stood and gave a black power salute.
