Energy Prices
This Energy price free for all started with that Nasty Lady Thatcher ,way back in the 1970s. An academic Dr Stephen Littlechild came up with the idea of free market in electricity. Thatcher introduced this madness on the advice of her energy Secretary John Wakeham.,,,, Littlechild was made regulator for the new energy market by Thatcher , and ended up the board of an Enron subsidiary , while Wakeham was elevated to to the Lords and he was on the Enron Board. And of course Enron collapsed in 2001 due to ......."Fraud And Corruption".,,, And all these years later its still hurting.

Don't forget there's and awful lot of pension funds invested in the utilities.
At the last election, Corbyn or McDonnell (I can't remember which of the clowns said it) said shareholders wouldn't be fully compensated.
Or would you rather they were not compensated at all and would just simply have to take the loss of their money on the chin?

erm Gulliver seems to understand Enron
Foo-foo ( head of enron) got the bottom line ( say a million bucks) crossed it out and wrote in 10 million bucks
and told his underlings to make it happen
they all went to prison ( fraud )
why didnt anyone say: 'we cant do that we will go to prison'?
anyway they didnt and they did ( didnt say, and did go to the slammer silly)
unlike 6th Jan 2021, where one of the Trump advisers said - "this is where we all go to prison"
