As already pointed out, I he Met Poluce are not ‘guns for hire’.
He can bring his own security detail by all means but they will not be allowed to be armed.

He didn’t think any of this through when his wife pussy-whipped him into severing ties with the Royal Family.

But he wanted to leave the UK and all the trappings of Royalty, so he can’t continually demand extra security equal to ‘royal’ status when he no longer warrants it.
It was(supposedly) his choice and he was quite forthright about it so I don’t understand what his problem is?

Perhaps gulliver could either confirm that IS what he's talking about (and he got it all completely wrong) or confirm what it actually is he wants to discuss?

Harry was born needing protection. He did not choose that lifestyle, he was born to it thanks to the choices that WE as a country made and continue to make.

He is struck between a rock and a hard place. He doesn't want us to pay for his protection. We don't want his own paid-for protection to be armed, but they would be armed of we were paying.

I look at our monarchy as a highly paid and rewarded form of slavery. I feel sorry for the royals who don't want it, and feel they should be allowed a form of escape that doesn't leave their families at huge risk. Harry is, after all, the grandson of our head of state. He and his family are targets. Our choice, not his.

They are all human beings after all, and I think Harry's relatives would like to see him and his kids every now and then and vice versa. He's seen his mother die as a result of tinpot private security not doing its job. He's offered to pay the costs for it to be done properly.

The real shame is that the Queen, Charles, William or someone with some supposed influence isn't making it possible, which just goes to show what powerless puppets they all actually are.

Roll on monarchy abolition so we don't have to hear about this farcical nonsense any more.

What is in my link is correct bednobs. Presumably because he wouldn't be allowed to bring over a load of American security people toting guns, he wanted to pay the Met Police to do it and they are obviously not for hire. Well pretty obvious to everyone but him I would think. He and M seriously think they might be killed if they don't have protection. I think it was all discussed on here at the time.

When it goes to court he may well strike a deal that he and his family are happy with.

The met police might not be for hire but they do turn up when they think they should, whether invited or not.
