Thunder and lightning would put the fear of God into the most resolute unbeliever.
I remember I was walking along a track beside a giant field of barley when the heavens opened. I had two metal walking poles which I dropped, walked away from them, and squatted down under my rain cape.
God, I thought, if you don't strike me with lightening I'll change my ways.
He didn't, but then nor did I.

That's interesting, when I had a look a few days ago Corsica were getting a good pasting then as well - perhaps God doesn't like the Mafia.
