Ah, all makes sense now TTT.
but JNO, you have not been asked for your opinion (and i still dont understand why she was).
My local council have just appointed a new waste management officer. I wonder what martina's thoughts are on that situation?
when i say not been asked for your opinion i mean by the newspaper,
All this just sounds like another Period Drama to me!

Although I do think its absolutely ridiculous, both having the position and then putting a man in it. How is a man going to know what a young girl goes through when the first one rears its ugly head? I have 3 daughters (who are pretty open) but I wouldn't dare say I have the first clue.

Just out of interest, does this man 'identify' as a woman? (Serious question).
Probably thinks that jobs a load of rubbish Bednobs.
was she asked, bednobs? As far as I can see, it was just a tweet that the papers picked up on.

I don't really see why you should have an opinion on this subject bednobs.
It seems to be a job created where no need existed. I don't think that our money is being spent in a sensible way.

The Scottish govt is buying votes again.
next time, perhaps theyll trawl AB and say "JNO said it was guess all female athletes should rightly have input? tragedy" or similar :)
you, of course, are too refined to use the same language she used.
surely this is th opposite of when women are given top jobs and people moan it should have gone to the best person, rather than fill a quota. According to the council, he WAS the best person, so the fact he's a man shouldnt bar him.
it just seems such a random person to comment in the paper about it, as if it should have more weight because it comes from a famous tennis player.

//looks like Rambona is off for a period....//

Do you use separate devices or just another tab and separate log-ins?

i dunno why my post got mucked up. I meant to say perhaps they'll trawl ab next time and say "jno said it's a terible trgedy"
JNO would be too refined to put it in the same terms as martina did!
well, it's like I say, she's famous so they quote her, but they didn't ask for a quote, she just did it off her own ... er, racket. I am not famous and not even named but if anyone wants to cite something I've written on AB, they can see my agent. It's not like anything I post has rude words in it.
First things first. Why does Scotland (or indeed anywhere else) require a "period dignity officer"?
and even if, as FI suggests it's an issue to all female athletes what information people in scotland are given about periods, what about asking one to whom it would be a current problem?
Oh super! How wonderfully inclusive! Is he a man - or is she just identifying as a man?
NJ, perhaps it will discourage police strip searches of menstruating teenagers? Of course I don't know if this is a problem north of the border.
Ms Navratilova may be of the opinion that the women of Tayside will be poorly served.
