I can’t see the point of them doing it anywhere. If people are bothered enough to join a political party - and it’s the members who get to vote - it’s reasonable to assume they have a keen interest in politics and would be aware of the attributes of both runners anyway.

In the Scottish Parliament, there are thirty-one Scottish Conservative & Unionist Party MSPs.
They are the second largest party in that Parliament.
Since both candidates support the Union, would it not look more than a wee bit odd if they ignored those who had voted for the Scottish Conservative & Unionist Party?
Would it not lead to the impression the Tories really aren't bothered about Scotland?
