are you ready for summer to be over?

it's been a hot one in the UK this year, recordbreaking heat wave, certainly ready for autumn and halloween and all the cooler weather that comes with it.

Nooooo let it carry on because its not going to be as hot as it was so a nice warm Indian summer will do nicely - the cold, dark winter will be here soon enough.

I'll be happy for a bit of warmth to continue as long as possible...and sunshine. I suffer when the sun disappears and never look forward to that.

Oh Emily I couldn't agree more. Been much too hot for me I find it hard to breathe. Absolutely dread having to take the dog out for his walks. Roll on Autumn, my favourite season of the year.

This morning on my dawg walk I could see my footprints in the dew, felt nice cool air in my lungs and could see the spiders webs in the grass. All very autumnal.

No! Beautiful out there at the moment and the promise of a decent weekend. Plenty of time to think about the dreaded moment when we have to switch on the central heating and the awful bills that will soon be hitting us.

I think we all will LB. I've found that a heating pad is a wonderful thing I don't want the heating on.

Always sad to see the back of summer. I don't mind Autumn, we can get some pleasant days. I do not like winter. Same as Pasta, it affects me mentally.
As for the big price rise in heating etc, extra layers, & hotwater bottles. Although, it has to be extremely cold. Its the only time I welcome hot flashes! :-)

Keep the sun, we have months ahead of rain,winds,snow,frost……….. and the dreaded dark nights/morning, a recipe for depression .

My fixed-price gas/electric tariff of £33 per month comes to an end on 30th September - can you imagine what they're going to be charging me after that? Don't want to think about summer ending!
