He did get a Brexit deal: admittedly probably one using chicanery, but even I as a staunch remainer can see that it was better than no deal. Which is what I thought we would be landed with.
And the vaccination programme was indeed a triumph, as were the home testing kids which I and many others made fun of when we first heard of it.
And he did indeed forge a frelationship with the president of Ukraine that I suspect was unique. He deserves to be idolised in that country.
There was a lot of bad stuff too, and that is what has caught up with him, of course.
In short, he was great at a lot of the "abnormal stuff" but very bad at the mumdanities. Sadly for him, and all of us, you need to be good at that too.
