They do 20 minute shifts I think
The watch is six hours!
I heard on the TV today that each shift is 20 minutes.
A watch lasts for 6 hours and within each watch there are 20 minute vigils. No one could he scorched to stand there perfectly still for 6 hours.

Thank goodness for that, I thought those poor soldiers had to stand for 6 hours!

I watched a little of the live feed while waiting for the 7pm news, and they changed the guard at a quarter to 7. Just after some woman in a motorised scooter had to be given the 'hurry up' by one of the officials. Must've thought she had special privileges which meant she could stay there twice as long as the others.
