Do Famous People Get Fast Tracked To Pass By The Queen Lying In State?

Do prominant people and celebrities get preferential treatment and don't queue up like normal people to pay their respects to the queen while lying in state.
Maybe politicians etc do.

Cant see it with celebritys but obviously family and friends get fasttracked if they want and people like the cabinet, newsreporters/press and people who worked with her

I suppose it depends upon how famous you are, as if I was a "famous" person, I would not like to be exposed in a queue for 9hours, to the British public.

When HM The Queen Mother died my husband ran the office of one of the organisations of which she was a patron. He was sent 2 tickets giving immediate access to be distributed to whoever it was felt ought to be able to pay their respects without having to queue for many hours.

I noticed that attention seeker Amanda Holden seemed to get to see the Queen lie in state PDQ pretty quickly with paps in tow. I wouldnt be at all surprised she pulled a few strings.

Somewhat amazed that anyone can get animated about this. Politicians and celebrities in a queue would cause many problems, not least security issues. Anyway, only members of the Commons and Lords, and members of the Queen's household staff, get to pay their respects without queuing.
