Gas Leak
i don't know much about these things but cant the gigantic gas leak be set on fire to burn off the methane that's damaging the atmosphere

Yes NS 2 was never operational but it was about to be.
It never will now.
Gazprom is currently is dispute with Naftogaz (Ukraine) surprise surprise and there is the chance the gas that comes via Ukraine might be switched off too. Of course Russia pays Naftogaz transit fees which would offset the loss of revenue.
Ultimately though higher gas prices will fail to compensate Russia for loss of customers
