Seriously, I could imagine that in the actual cities of Luhansk and Donetsk, which have had 8 years of brainwashing and where there have always been some people who hanker after Russia, then probably some.
The rest of those regions: negligible I'd say, especially now.
Kherson and Zaporizhzhya: less than negligible.
It seems as though they intend to "annexe" the entirely of the four regions, despite the fact that they control none of them entirely, even Luhansk, barely half of Donetsk, about 60% of Zaporizhzhya, but not the city of Zaporizhzhya itself. So they are going to declare a part of Russia a city that they don't even control.
Utterly bonkers
Added to which, they also still occupy small parts of Kharkiv and Mikolaiv regions (for now)
It looks as though they are deploying draftees - up to 20,000 - to Belarus, possibly to open some sort of diversionary new front to the north.

However it is true that during the early part of the conflict when the war raged in 2014 and 15, there were people on the wrong side of the Ukrainian shells. But this was a conflict years in the making and the planninf and it was provoked needlessly by russia.

Where people go wrong is in imagining that Putin "owned" the process that led to him coming to power. He did not: he was brought in by more powerful people as an apparatchik who could front their takeover. He by all accounts was a reluctant leader.
The implications of that are that although in the intervening years he has "warmed to the job" he's a product of more sinister forces and when he goes it's unlikely to be in favour of anyone "nice"

This morning the Russian army shelled a convoy of civilians escaping from occupied Zaporizhzhya. 23 killed including a 4-year old girl.
