guys, this is a serious subject and everyone deserves to be heard. can we stay on subject and refrain from throwing things?
what concerns me is that we burn all this extra gas and oil for our tricity over and above than the typical 60 percent - and as to electric cars, not hydrocarbon hybrids, it's showing up that they are sham in hiding the pollution up the line....

Blackouts I would say very unlikely.
Less likely than higher prices.
goes to show how vulnerable europe is to gas electric supply, at the mercy to a tyrant in russia in away, no forward thought given years ago to what might happen in russia, no crystal ball.. all we can do is grin and bear it till pooter is gone and a realistic leader takes his place.
but in the long term have our own energy supplies, coal nuclear whatever, wind farms or tidal just wont cut it as to demand, all those electric cars that were raved about ermm yea.
