Hi punters
no having a very good evening
here is the depressing report on East Kent Maternity

There WAS a maternity audit scheme - triennial maternal mortality
which went onto the Bonfire of the Quangos 2010 ALONG WITH the related infant mortality scheme and neonatal mortality scheme. And everyone got medals

First nail n the coffin of all three was a supposed educated Mandarin asking " why one cost double vuh uvvuz?". We explained that one of them had a matched series of controls - which is double the number and then double the cost. He might have gone on " we pay. no you not do dat. money"- - - - anyway all three are history now

But maybe it's more than inept, maybe it's malign - "poor decision-making by staff and infighting within and between midwives and obstetricians, the report said. The trust allowed huge tensions within its maternity workforce to continue, got rid of managers who tried to address the problems – and in some cases even blamed mothers for the death of their child."

I am not sure what the answer is: pull it all down and start again.....is not an option
