Same as those criminal barristers who have to take second jobs as Batista's to make ends meet.
^ Batista's.
^. baristas
could be right -

15x24x365 = £131,400

How can people get away with these ridiculous assertions? My GP earns £250,000 a year. He told me.
I'm amazed that the BBC revealed your true identity.
Question Author
davebro: No-one works 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You wouldn't be able to find the time to whinge on and on about your pay.
Your GP probably 'owns/runs' the practice, those he employs will get less. He may also be including his private work.

But £15 an hour is clearly not correct, no matter how many hours he/she is claiming to work.

day.co.uk/how_many_working_days_in_year_2022_England.htm

On the assumption that he works eight hours a day on all of the standard working days, that makes £15 x 8 hours x 250 days = £30k.

Not possible...
Mother Teresa was not a nice person, a nasty piece of work!
+1 Horrible woman, by all accounts.
junior GP 60k / senior partner 250k
Wolf @ 16:58 - +1 & +1 (I'll include Lynne; she rarely had a bad word to say about anyone, but MT really got her hackles up).
Question Author
Davebro: Agreed. This is Trumpian. It's not true and one wonders why this doctor can away with this ridiculous assertion.
Question Author
Wolf, JimF: For goodness sake. It was ironic. It wasn't about Mother Teresa.

sandyRoe: Batista was a ghastly South American dictator who ruled Cuba until the Castro revolution in 1959. I doubt if the British Medical Association would approve of barristers moonlight thing for a dead communist dictator, though could be wrong. You go on to cite the so-called barristers' strike. A handful of barristers joined the 'action' and they were all back in the wine bars within two days.
Question Author
Apologies: Meant Batista was a vile fascist dictator. Castro was just a vile communist dictator.
First year junior doctors get £14.12 an hour.
From archibalds useful link
''As a doctor in training you’ll earn a basic salary, plus pay for any hours over 40 per week, a 37 per cent enhancement for working nights, a weekend allowance for any work at the weekend, an availability allowance if you are required to be available on-call, and other potential pay premia.

In Foundation training, you will earn a basic salary of £29,384 to £34,012 (from 1 April 2022).

If you’re a doctor starting your specialist training in 2022 your basic salary will be £40,257 to £53,398.''

....so £15 an hour will be right if in there first year (under training&supervison) and does no weekends, out of hours etc....
