Shame there's no viable alternative isn't it, Gully ;)
What policies would Labour introduce to save the economy? Do tell...
Yes, less than 2 years to wait now

The Tories / Cons,, Have not got a cat in hell's chance of winning a G/E election for the next 20 years. Hazi.
Just get used to the Idea.........The Party's over.......
/Sir John also said support for rejoing the E.U is growing fast/

Great news for the Lib Dems then. They are the only party committed to it.
Yawnnnnnnn.
//The Tories / Cons,, Have not got a cat in hell's chance of winning a G/E election for the next 20 years.// Labour don't win general elections any more, Gully. Nothing since 2005. And it's another couple of years away. It will be interesting to see if Keir runs on the same manifesto he lost on last time when Jezza was leading the pack (and Labour actually had support from the left of the party). Perhaps you should consider moving back so you can actually cast a vote yourself, rather than telling everyone else what to do?! Desperate stuff from the same old Liebour.
SPUNGLE, "Great news for the Lib Dems then. They are the only party committed to it."

Are you sure they're the only ones?
Sounds like JC has lost it.
/Are you sure they're the only ones?/ Probably not, actually, I expect the SNP would and probably the Green Party. What I meant was any growing anti-Brexit sentiment would not aid the Tories or Labour.

Have to agree with Sir John .The Tory reign is fast coming to an end. .......Thank you God...
It’s been a perfect storm with the pandemic, Ukraine, fuel costs, inflation, interest rate rises etc etc etc, and they have all contributed to where we are now.

I disagreed with the lockdowns and paying people to sit on their fat backsides, because it was obvious it would cause problems down the line, and it has, and Ukraine has added to it…and most people are reaping the mistakes of the lockdowns and furlough (exacerbated by Ukraine), and we are having to pay.

It’s crap.

But…

Would we be in a different position with Labour in charge? Of course not, in fact, probably worse.

To this day I don’t know what Starmer stands for. Does anybody?

I’m not being obtuse, he’s added the square root of F all, and I defy anybody to tell me what he actually stands for.
There’s people on AB who loved the lockdowns and paying people to sit at home, who are now whining about the economy.

If they cared to scroll me back to April 20, they would see me saying what’s now happening. They won’t of course, and I can’t say I blame, because they’d see…
dream on gully, without Scotland the best Labour can achieve is a hung parliament. That means The Tories do a deal with the Irish tories and they are back in no 10. Who will Labour select as their next leader?
Yes DD, some of us were pilloried for saying what would happen, and now has happened
It’s been a perfect storm with the pandemic, Ukraine, fuel costs, inflation, interest rate rises etc etc etc, and they have all contributed to where we are now.

oh so it hasnt been Brexit at all - Phew - thought it was obvious

and what you need YMF
"what all the wise hats said would happen, has not and what all the damned fools in the country said would happen has come to pass"

which I thought was Duke Wellington ( "Never seen such a thorough lot of bad hats."...First reform parliament post 1832)
later er about the 1832 Reform Bill

someone anyway and not me
The Tories have made a laughing stock of parliament with their stupid infighting amongst themselves. It is time for a General Election and i am not frightened of a Labour government because they would not be such a farce as the conservatives have been.
