I would have thought that Premiere Inn staff should have erred on the side of caution and let them stay unless the dog started misbehaving.

The dogs are well trained and well behaved, unlike some of the human guests!

I am sure there are people that pretend to be blind so they can take their dog places where it isn't allowed.

However, on this occasion it seems like the stupid jobsworths at the hotel got it wrong.
