…for 'their heroic stand against "structural racism" in the monarchy'.

A fellow recipient on this occasion is Ukraine's President Zelensky.
'Heroic'? I don’t think there is an award for lying to Oprah Winfrey, but if there is it's the only one they should be receiving. Coming from a highly prestigious foundation, this certainly leaves a sour taste.

When Harry came on and joined in he said, A person (who he would never name) asked A question about what any children (if they were to have any) would look like. So one of them was telling lies and from this, someone thinks this amounts to ( 'their heroic stand against "structural racism" in the monarchy') and this is why they are being presented with this award.
So what was their heroic stand, what did they do? Nothing!
It was a comment made by someone before they were even married and the Kennedys see this as something these two should receive an award for.
As Naomi has said //A fellow recipient on this occasion is Ukraine's President Zelensky.//
Who do you think is more deserving of this award?

Harry and Meghan receive an award from the Kennedy Centre and some use it as an occasion to launch (yet another) attack on them instead of looking at why they received the award.
I think throwing attention on racism within an organisation is laudable. Without them would any of us know about the colour bar operated within the royal households?

Context is important.
You have a half-black woman (or half-white - take your choice) and a white pale ginger Hewitt, so wouldn't people be curious?
But, and here's where context is important, perhaps it was a nice curiosity (i.e, with their colouring, the baby's colour is going to be lovely), rather than the default of it being a negative and racist.
I don't see the RF as institutionally racist, so I'm going to go with the nice curiosity.
Whatever, it doesn't matter one jot because she prefers "my truth", which is basically code for I could make any old crap-up, but if it's "my truth" it must be believed.

Yep - there's alot of conjecture and guesswork. I think one thing's certain - the award will annoy many and please many. If you look at the way they're portrayed in the British media compared to the US, you'd think that we're talking about different people.
...but then again, Americans elected Trump, so...

With regard to the alleged comment about their baby's possible characteristics, that's a conversation millions of future parents have every day, especially if the mum is dark and the dad is ginger, or vice versa.
Good friends of ours are a blond chap and his Chinese wife, and speculation about their first offsprings colouring, and it never occurred to them that it was anything other than the natural curiosity they also enjoyed.
If you want to see racism in that scenario, you can, but you have to search for it, its not actually there until you put it there.
