I think that the lady was asking where her family originated from. I think that is a genuine question, maybe not the time nor the place but it is hardly a major issue.

tigger - // I can't believe this is still dragging on. What happened to 'agree to disagree and move on'? //
Where's the fun in that?
I'd much rather read people tying themselves in knots and getting ever further away from the original discussion, rather than simply concede that what they read is what happened, and not some giant conspiracy to do an old lady out of the position that she chose to resign from herself.

tigger - // I share similar views to you and Ellipsis on this matter, Andy. But I really do think it's time to put it to bed. //
I can see your point, but i find the spectacle of people who I had thought of as intelligent and rational people, willfully ignoring basic facts, and a logical conclusion, in favour of ever more outlandish and potty conspiracy theories, really hard to resist.

The whole affair is intriguing . Coloured woman goes to Kensigton Palace to attend a Charity function. Meets a member of the Royal household who asks her where she comes from. Then follows a lengthy dialogue between the two women. How on earth did the woman of colour remember verbatim the conversation . Did she have her phone recording it? That's the intriguing bit to me.
I refer you to my recent post, where I confirmed that I can recall verbatim conversations
er - but how do you check, or do you just KNOW ?
Seems we dont need secretaries or tape recorders but hey ho they are still on the market
you need to transcribe within about an hour and even then you may miss 75% detail - that is - it fades very quickly
this covers a bit

but isnt the one that I am thinking of.
Issues not er at issue here is - false memory - you remember something that just didnt happen.
and filling in bits: show a video clip of part of a bank robbery and the witness obligingly fills in with what happened before and aft ( the video that is!)
Phones are used to record, but we know the Palace makes punters hand in their phones - hence how did Harry etc....and also how did SHE - ngozi - manage to record it

Oh it is called Decay Theory ( memories fading). First examined scientifically in.. 1914
Dont read Andy
read it here! https:/ /en.wik ipedia. org/wik i/Decay _theory
I thought there was far too much detail for her to have remembered it. And of course Lady Hussey DIDN'T say "that isnt quite how I remember it"

What are you saying?
It never happened? It happened, but not anything like that? It happened roughly like that? Or it happened exactly like that?
I'll go for the third or fourth one. They're in line with Lady Susan stepping aside, with Prince William's comments, with the Palace's comments and with Ngozi Fulani's comments.
