The latest poll still gives Labour a 48% lead over the tories despite Sunak being more popular than Johnson.There is no avoiding defeat at the next G.E For the Tories says a former Cabinet minister and close friend of Mr Johnson and also says Johnson has no wish to be the leader of the opposition . What a shame .

It seems that Liz Truss's mini budget in now being compared with Norman Lamont's Black wednesday , when Major was PM .The Cons had a whole term of being in power in front of them hoping the voters would forget about Black wed at the next G.E ...But they didn't and he and the cons were kicked into opposition.

i would be very pleased if the conservatives lost the next election... they have done enormous harm to this country

i hope the polls are correct but the tories are power hungry and believe in absolutely nothing... a very dangerous combination... they will say or do anything
