Most people are aware and saddened by the deaths of the little boys. Anyone risking walking on frozen water so soon after such an events should be .....
What should we do to them? Prevent them from breeding sound like the only option.
From the article I applaud what the Cardiff authorities did in their effort to stop idiots walking onto frozen water.
wolf, given the supposed ages of 20 - 30 yrs old it may be too late for that. I do not worry for these idiots who definitely should have known better but I do care about what could happen to any rescue workers, let alone the cost involved. What an example for young children, sigh.

I have a photo of me with my parents on the frozen River Ribble in 1947 I was on there again in 1963 (very cautiously) with my girlfriend in 1963. It's not a deep river(you can walk right across) and we got off quickly when the ice creaked.
I think we can all agree that under no circumstances should children ever venture on their own onto ice. Nevertheless many of us have marvelled at families etc happy skating on frozen ponds etc in the past
The fenskating is going on in Lincolshire. Not quite as dangerous because they know the water never gets over 2ft. But surely would be a struggle getting out of a 2' deep hole in the ice.
