Apparently thousand of postal packages per day are being returned from Ireland (to GB) for not having the required digital codes added to the package, allowing their tax status to be identified.
The EU rules (known as Customs 2020) are required on postal items arriving from outside the EU; these rules were first implemented by Ireland, but are due to come into force across the whole of the EU next month.
Although this will affect many private citizens sending items to family & friends - small businesses will be hit hardest with non-delivery of orders, ultimately with those in Europe seeking alternate suppliers (not from within GB).
Remember the Brexiteers telling us red-tape would be reduced following Brexit?
Some might sat those soet of EU rules like that 2020 one are an example of why we chose to get out of that redtapeloving EU. ( for balance even though I voted Remain)
I’m willing to bet most ABers are unaware that as of next month any packages they send to countries within the EU are likely to be returned – if you listen to the youtube video you will discover why. If we were still members of the EU we would have no such problems – that is why it is yet another Brexit disaster.
Anything they do so can we, so if true, any parcels from the EUSSR to UK will also bounce back. They can effect 1 nation we can effect 27 so it's a lot worse for them. Have you any evidence of this beyond the video from some EUSSR lackey?
I sell a lot of car stuff on Ebay but I won't sell to the EUSSR because they are all a pain in the April. I've had Italians (they are the worst - they always claim they've not hjad ot then demand a refund, total nightmare) begging me to send them stuff.
Why are you asking me to speak for the winners. The biggest loser is you....you lost your credibility by not voting and then harping on 6 years later about why she should of remained
