If you thought the continuing loss of billions of pounds in tax to the exchequer (and even more to the UK economy as a whole) as a direct result of Brexit is bad; you ain’t seen nothing yet.

The ‘EU law revocation and reform bill’ which has already passed two votes on the House of Commons (and despite not having passed into law yet), is due to take effect at the end of next year.

The bill proposes the loss of a host of rights, freedoms and protections of ordinary people; amongst them the right to annual paid leave, the right of women to equal pay for doing the same work as men and many, many more rights UK citizens have enjoyed for years as a result of being members of the EU.

I don’t recall the loss of these rights being plastered on the side of a red bus during the referendum debate – but that’s what you fools voted for.

i am quite grateful to hymie for continuing to point out the substantial costs of brexit... too often people simply ignore them or pretend they don't exist and they have been doing so since the referendum in 2016... unfortunately it's not much use... brexiters will continue to pretend that the economy never mattered to them (it did at the time, they were...

Hymie: "Within the UK, having no widget manufacturing to speak of" - would it surprise you that despite the continual talking down the UK is in the world's top 10 in manufacturing nations? Ahead of France of which you speak above!

Once again you wear your ignorance as a badge.

Any response to 09:41?
Hymie, have you ever considered learning about the EUSSR and it's institutions? Perhaps even learn about the UK. Everyday you post these threads and get scythed down with ease because you spout rubbish with no basis in fact. Take a few weeks off brexit and learn about the EUSSR/UK and maybe you'll have a coherent argument one day.

My post of 09:11 - was for illustrative purposes only – I don’t believe that France or the UK has a substantial widget industry.
Down in England, the English Tory voters were the voters who voted for Brexit,up here in Scotland the SNP voters were the voters who voted for Brexit.Yet we have SNP eejits on here who still claim that the SNP are the best things since sliced bread. No wonder im angry at these Brexit voting Tartan Tories.
Yes ynna, it's also the case that many SNP voters did not vote for "independence" in 2014.
Does Switzerland and Norway follow those directives .. if not then how do there people get rights
Which political parties did the 1,661,191 Remain voters in Scotland support?

EU Directives have no direct legislative effect on member States – only that each member State is required to enact laws that are in compliance with the Directive’s requirements.

I’m no expert on the relationship between Norway or Switzerland and the EU; they may have agreed to enact laws in compliance with EU Directives, but I suspect they get to choose to implement them or not.
From Full Fact in March 2016,

"Norway and Switzerland aren’t members of the European Union. But they both access the single market.

This does involve accepting rules set by the EU.

Norway has full access to the single market, and continuously changes its laws about it as and when they’re changed by the EU. Switzerland has more limited access, and has to accept new chunks of EU law only if it negotiates more access."

@10.36.Labour Party voters in Scotland-81% were Remainers,Scottish Tory voters-73% were Remainers,SNP voters-71% were Remainers.Sounds like the SNP voters have something to answer for there,TCL.
You claimed, "up here in Scotland the SNP voters were the voters who voted for Brexit."

That is clearly rubbish since you say, "SNP voters-71% were Remainers". Mind you, you have a history of posting ridiculous claims.
Given the fact that even MSPs and MPs have sometimes not voted in line with their parties' policies and directives, is it any wonder some members of the public do the same thing?
Down in England, the Tories were the majority Brexiteers,TCL,up here in Scotland the SNP(The Tartan Tories, the Thatcher enablers)were the majority Brexiteers.Yet we still have Sturgeon and the rest of the SNP eejits claiming to be against Brexit and against Thatcher. The SNP were the Brexiteer party up here in Scotland.Numpties.
Nice try but you claimed, "up here in Scotland the SNP voters were the voters who voted for Brexit." and since you have now said 71% of SNP voters were Remainers, your earlier claim was not accurate or in your world, a "lie".

You are a stickler for accuracy and have got up to high doh about perceived lies so why not practise what you preach?
ynna, yes it is clear from the figures that the percentage of party members in Scotland that voted for brexit is the highest in the SNP. We are continually reminded that Scotland did not vote for brexit overall and that is true but their voters, principally 29% of the SNP made a large contribution to the Brexit vote. If you deduct that from the brexit vote remain win. Cheers SNP!
Do you want to show your working out for that claim?
It appears to me that the damage to the UK is self-inflicted, being brought about by latter-day communist inspired trade-union leaders.
