At a time when so many are knocking the NHS, its management and its striking workers, it is wonderful to read of such devotion, dedication and sheer determination to save a life.

That Doctor served the passenger so well, I hope he thoroughly enjoys his holiday.

What a lovely story, and good that the man was able to thank the doctor for saving his life.
I've no idea what type of medical supplies are carried on a plane, but perhaps they need to rethink about that and the sort of emergencies that could occur.
Perhaps something along the lines that a paramedic might carry.

jno - would it surprise you to know that lot is among my regular packing? I am checking OH's oxygen levels with my own pulse oximeter at the moment as the nurses don't say what the readings are. Today the reading kept falling down to 75. OH is off oxygen as of today!

Before anyone suggests low battery level, I put in brand new ones.
