Momentous Day In Ukraine War
From the office of the president of Poland:
“A company of Leopard tanks for Ukraine will be transferred as part of building an international coalition. Such a decision is already in Poland.”

This is surely the tip of the iceberg and ultimately spells the end for Russia’s “special” military operations

I would imagine getting all the ammo in and lined up is the next big task though. So many Russians to get shot of.
Here's hoping.

Some people think Wagner wants the mines for economic purposes.
Others that they want to use them for military purposes.
It’s hard to see how the latter works.
These mines, some of them, are whole subterranean worlds with easy access. But very vulnerable to attack you’d have thought. Maybe that’s where they’ll hide when Mr Leopard comes calling ;-)
There have been pictures of Wagnerites allegedly in one of the Soledar mines but the Russian defence ministry and the Wagnerites seem to disagree on what’s happening there.
Looks like Spain will be sending leopards too … we’ll see

“
Haven't the Spanish refused to send tanks previously?”
Yes tho the Germans are the ones the spotlight has fallen on most.
But as you point out above, there was a reluctance for one country to go out on a limb. This is, I would expect, the start of a choreographed move which sees different countries now joining in

It's the German Leopard 2 which is the business, I don't know what the Spaniards have.
I've posted this before, The Leopard 2 normally uses two main types of ammunition - the APFSDS-T armor-piercing rounds and HEAT-MP-T multi-purpose rounds. The APFSDS-T round penetrates around 450 mm of rolled homogenous armor equivalency at 2,000 m range. Which a bit mind-blowing!

“Answer
So what's changed if Spain are to send Leopards which i believe they said were 'unsuitable' and in a very poor state of repair”
Well plainly they’ve agreed to jump together. And the reason for that presumably is that political will now matches military necessity, with the confidence that Ukraine can end this war in its terms. I don’t know anything about Spain’s contribution: just the fact that they appear to be doing something.
