What utter drivel. The choice when pubs were smoky was going into a smoky pub or not going into a pub at all. The choice when cakes are in your office is to go into the office and not eat the cakes or go into the office and eat them. So a completely inappropriate analogy. When I was younger, a woman in my office would buy cakes for everyone (3 of us) at lunchtime. I really didn’t want to eat it, but I did to be polite.

I don’t think it should be banned, but maybe ask if people want one rather than spring it on them. I’d have loved a bag of crisps though.
