Used to buy a 6.49 lottery ticket when on holiday in Vancouver - where did I go wrong? Hope she gets good advice re her winnings.
That amount would worry me to death! Let's hope she has good, sensible advice, and keeps her feet grounded. I hope it brings her happiness.

I agree such a sum could be disastrous. But with current ordinary savings rates at a paltry 0.1% this would give a comfortable background income of $36,000 per annum (about one and a half times minimum UK wage).

Not enough to go crazy on, but enough to take a relaxed view regarding education/employment.

So perhaps that's the wisest option.
Anybody getting 0.1% on their savings needs to look elsewhere...pronto!
