Are our food suppliers' health checks declining (i.e. why aren't these failures discovered until after the products reach the shelves).

Here are this week's recall products (to be fair, some are only lacking allergy warnings, but if you've got that allergy it's certainly lethal). Note the first one, rather ironic given the distress that Gummies-based spam causes some folk in this forum!

Boots KidsDaily Health Multivitamins Strawberry flavoured Gummines
Quorn Foods Quorn Swedish style Meatballs
Asda White Lasagne Sauce
Marks & Spencers Belgian Dark Chocolate
Teco Creamfields Grated Cheddar
Aldi Harvest Moon High Protein Bars
Ardo Fruitberry Mix

Good point bobbinwales, any unannounced hiccups are nowadays likely to be snapped up eagerly by the no-win-no-fee brigade. So better safe than sorry.

Well do you want them to open every packet and check for plastic bits or bacteria. Maybe they should hold them all back and see if the bacteria develops while they are at it?

Mispacking should have been picked up by the random checks in the factory though.
