gulliver - // no one recognised him with a tidy haircut and a clean shirt. //
Since becoming PM, Mr Johnson has steadily dropped the 'bumptious clown' image he used to foster, but tidying up his appearance, and allowing the nation to hear rather more of the razor-sharp intellect that he has made available to anyone who reads his journalism.
His new shorter-still haircut is no doubt to focus on making him appear as a serious and believable politician to the committee, which is an understandable tactic in his position.
But i don;t think I have ever seen him, from when he first popped up on Have I Got News For You, in clothes which are not clean.
Rumpled yes,, dirty, no.
If you are going to criticise, at least make your observations valid.
