The BBC is objecting to a new label describing it as "government funded media" on its main Twitter account.
The corporation has contacted the social media giant over the designation on the @BBC account to resolve the issue "as soon as possible".
"The BBC is, and always has been, independent. We are funded by the British public through the licence fee," it said.

I got into a long correspondence ( we agree to differ) about govt paying doctors great big fat pensions.
Well the govt employs the doctors, and their pay goes to their pensions, and so..... the govt pays FOR their pensions.
I explained to the fella, he was employed by a charity and the law said he had to have a pension, So DISGUSTING, my charity lulu paid for HIS pension. ( and was therefore unlawful). He didnt get it. He got his pension OK tho ter daah
