What do you think was no 1? Something with Clarkson? Piers Morgan, Jade Goody, Brass eye? Love Island? nope it was the news. The coverage of the death of Prince Philip delayed some very sad people from watching their soaps. What does that say about us? Sad very sad.

The point is, when it comes to complaining, schedule changes are a top issue.

Add in the number of soap watchers, and the number of complaints increases in proportion.

That indicates, not that more people think their soap fix absence is more important than the passing of the |Duke, just that a higher number are willing to complain about it.

I would have loved to hear what Prince Philip thought about this. The man had a sense of humour.

You'd think they would have realised Her Majesty insisted on the schedule change so she didn't miss her favourite programmes?

Yes, I was shocked at that as well. I remember the complaints at the time and hoped it didn't filter down to the grieving Queen. People are strange, no doubt about it!

We watch Corrie, not bothered about schedule changes because we never watch commercial channels live

There are those who, when their 'soaps' are moved around to accommodate other programmes, get as agitated as 'Rain Man' did when he has to watch 'The People's Court' every day at a certain time.

It is true most people are creatures of habit and hate disruption to their routine.
They complain about schedule changes due to sport, too.

It interests me that more people complained when the dog had to be 'put to sleep' in recently than about the murder and rape storylines.
