Another load of tripe from Phil Space.
Who gives a toss ?

He might have something better to do that day.
if he doesn't go, he won't be setting a precedent. Eisenhower didn't attend in 1953, and Roosevelt didn't attend in 1937 (both sent delegates)
Pure speculation but who cares anyway.
This is the one that makes me laugh

He's a republican and an independence fanatic but is going to the coronation instead of an independence rally!

Many monarchs don't attend as it's a diplomacy thing - leave our Monarch shine above their delegated rep.....Mrs Dr. Joe B likely will be coming over to watch KC & The Sunshine Band.
Scotland’s UKxit would not mean they have become a Republic. They would just apply to join the British Commonwealth like dozens of other nations that gained Independence.
Not why the elicits a mass bout of incontinence from the avid DE readers.
Gromit - Humza Yousaf wants Scotland to become a republic ie, not subject to the king. I am aware that simply leaving the union will not make Scotland a republic.
//Scotland’s UKxit would not mean they have become a Republic.//

It would not necessarily mean they become a Republic. But they would have to decide. Personally I could not see them retaining the UK Monarch as their Head of State in the event of independence. But you never know.

Whether or not they join the Commonwealth has no bearing on the issue. King Charles is Head of the Commonwealth, but he is not the Head of State of all its members.
The point I was making with the DE article is that Humza Yousaf wants Scotland to be totally independent of England but wants the bragging-rights of having attended the coronation - what a hypocrite!
Perhaps he's still upset that at the Queen's funeral he was sat way back, behind the Commonwealth leaders.
Watching the way Biden walks nowadays he doesn't look like he's make it all the way to the front rows for the coronation.
I would have thought that the First Minister of Scotland would be expected to attend the coronation of the current head of state (irrespective of his own views) and I would pay very little attention to any related article the Daily Express published, since knocking the SNP seems to be its main function (at least in its Scottish editions.)
I won't be attending either
American presidents never attend UK coronations ... so who's the dummy now?
I’m enjoying this (final) season of ST: Picard.
Now nearing its conclusion (episode 9 of 10 tomorrow).
Still great telly after 55 years.
"According to a royal expert". Ie according to whoever wrote that article's imagination.
