A cow is only 'uncomfortably full' because her calf has been taken away from her, with the reason being humans think they have more right to her milk than her offspring does.
''If we didn't drink cows milk ,eat beef or wear leather there would be no cows. ''
Good! Humanity has come along way in the last few hundred years and there are plenty of viable alternatives to leather, beef and milk.
If you believe that artificially inseminating a cow just so her child can be; shot at birth if male, grown for meat or thrown into a life of servitude if female is any sort of life I'm glad I'm not one of your children.
If you also still believe that these animals spend their life gamboling around spring green fields you are very sadly deluded.

divegirl, my daughter has been vegan for well over 20 years, her son has been raised vegan but she buys and cooks meat, usuallyoffal, to feed her dogs and cats.
I have spent a lot of time on farms, as has my daughter, and know full well how cows are raised. I have been to abattoirs and know how animals are slaughtered.
If you think all farmers are evil and don't give too hoots for the welfare of their animals you are wrong. The bad farmers are in the minority.
I don't care what you eat, I won't persuade you to eat meat. Just don't try to influence my choices.

divegirl, in your ideal world, who would look after all the cows if the world suddenly went vegan, feed house care ie vets fees, and would use more oil for all the non leather products, hemp cloth would not be enough, anyway back to the cows sheep pigs turkeys chickens, who is going to care for them after we stop eating them, if they are to live out there natural life, i assume on a farm, who pays..
Animals eat animals. Humans are animals and have evolved to eat animals. I do believe however that modern farming methods to produce more meat or more milk than we need are wrong. Most animal farmers are actually very kind to their animals. As long as animals have a good life before slaughter, and humane slaughter then im happy to eat meat. The average adult needs very little milk for nutritous purposes. But its essental for young children.
What upsets me is vegans who deny children milk or other vegan foods. Let them make their own minds, but feed them a mixed diet whilst young.
I love steak!
