Oh bottom. Android phones must be running Android 11 or later and mine doesn't
I expected a much louder noise!
Lol ours was very loud especially as my phones are low, poor Jess nearly jumped out of her skin
Was that the three beeps i got on my phone?
Question Author
mine was a loud screechy sort of noise.
Ours certainly wasn’t 3 beeps, full on klaxon
According to the BBC, Android 'phones with a version older than Android 11 should not have received the alert but mines is 10 and I did.
Mine s 9
i never got the alert, im on android 13 and also had airplane mode off
my other half had the alert.
I got mines a few minute before three and at the snooker, play was suspended in anticipation of the alert.

They resumed when they thought it was over but there were folk getting the alert still til at least five past.
Just goes to prove the old saying about the country needing lerts as true.
The voice on mine was very American? Possibly Californian ?
Perhaps they could not arrised changing it. Yes I know 8 am nitpicking but it niggles
You could tell that by the accent?
I did't like the American voice either. I expected a Churchill type voice.
Is the 'voice' actually built into the phone and just reads out the text?
I dont think so. It didnt sound robotic.
We did hear a voice
Nope.
I always have notifications turned off.
I was in the pub and only about 50% seem to have been contacted.
Three of had a loud klaxon like noise, which frightened the life out of the cat,no voice just a text
